Thousands of red ants. Des milliers de fourmis rouges.
Here is an example of how red ants invade… I myself experienced a lovely ant attack ! I was staying in one of the wooden houses which are not insect-proof ! I had gone to bed early in order to get up at 2am to go and see the bonobos ! I got up and got dressed and went to the WC, there I felt a few ant bites so on my way back to my house I had a good for the ants… THEY WERE EVERYWHERE !!!
Joseph had come to make my coffee and I had to go and get the suger from the guys house… when I got there I had to take my clothes off to get rid of the ants that where all over me ! I ran back to the dinning area and again had to take my clothes off, what a site for Joseph, me wrapped in my sarong standing on the bench pulling these ants of me ! But worse was to come, I had to go back to my house to get my bag and boots to go into the forest… when I got there there where ants everywhere, all over the floor, up the walls !!! I was glad to be leaving, but not before taking my clothes off for the third time !!!
And these red ants are evil, the soldier ants are over 1cm long and their mandibles cut through your skin when you rip them off !

Trust me… not a fun experience although afterwards you have to laugh about it !

Voici un exemple de comment les fourmis rouge envahisse… J’ai moi-même fait l’expérience d’une attaque de fourmis ! Je loger dans une des maisons en bois qui ne sont pas résistant aux insectes ! Je m’été coucher tôt pour partir voir les bonobos a 2 heures du matin ! Je me suis lever et habiller et suis parti au WC, la j’ai senti quelques morsure de fourmis donc en retournant à la maison j’ai bien regarder pour éviter les fourmis, ELLES ETAIT PARTOUT !!!
Joseph était venu me faire mon café donc je devait aller prendre le sucre dans la maison de Tim et Robert … arrivée là-bas j’ai du me déshabiller pour enlever les fourmis qui était partout sur moi ! J’ai couru jusqu’à la salle a manger et j’ai du a nouveau me déshabiller, quel spectacle pour Joseph, moi, debout sur le banc en paréo a retirer ces dizaines de fourmis de ma peau… mais ce n’était pas finis, je devait encore retourner a ma maison prendre mon sac et mes bottes pour partir en foret… dans la maison il y avait des fourmis partout, parterre, sur les murs, j’était bien contente de partir en foret… mais pas avant de retirer mes vêtements pour une troisième fois !!!
Et ses fourmis rouges sont vraiment méchantes, les soldats font plus d’un centimètre et ont des mandibules qui vous tranche la peau quand on les arrache !
Croyez moi, ce n’est pas un bonne expérience mais après bien sur on est bien obliger d’en rire !
